Wearing the newly necessary PPE mask is causing a new form of breakout caused by friction, sweat and lack of circulation. Depending on the design of your mask the breakouts are usually usually in areas of contact-jaw, cheekbones and nose. Tips to counter act MASKNE... -Wear a clean mask every day -Wash cloth cotton masks daily-don't dry with dryer sheets -Don't wear makeup under the mask. Only make up your eyes! -Drink your water! Now wearing a mask drinking our usual quota of water takes more effort -Fewer skincare products works better than aggressive scrubbing. Applying your typical acne or anti again serums under your mask will actually intensity them. The occlusion of your mask over skin treated with benzo or retinol makes the skin more reactive. Save those for nighttime treatment. -Dont over-wash your face as this will contribute to the imbalance

FACE it... life can be stressful. Especially during times like we are living in right now. There are so many unknowns that our stress levels might be at an all-time high. However, while stress is normal, and everyone experiences it, chronic stress can have a lasting effect on your mental and physical health. It can take a toll on our bodies and mind. You might feel emotional, have a hard time focusing, feel anxious, or even withdraw mentally as the brain “overheats” and copes by turning off for a moment. This all means that we are flooded. 'Flooding' is this extremely uncomfortable feeling of being overwhelmed mentally and emotionally (super stressed). So, when feeling stressed the best step we can take for ourselves is to pause and recognize these 'flooded' feelings and take these 10 steps to help reduce these feelings: Don't respond. Walk away. When feeling flooded, it's easy to "snap" response instead of really taking time to formulate an answer.
